Infractions or violations of this Code of Conduct may result in warnings, temporary account suspension, permanent account closure or any other disciplinary measure deemed appropriate by Sierra Online Games and at its sole discretion.

1. The FreeStyle Code of Conduct governing your use of the FreeStyle online gaming service is an addendum to the FreeStyle Terms of Use.
   
   
2. HARASSMENT & ABUSE: You may not harass or threaten other players, nor use any sexually explicit, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, obscene, hateful, racially or ethnically offensive expressions or statements. This applies to any language.
   
   
3. HATE: You may not organize nor be a member of any guilds or groups within the FreeStyle Service that are based on, or espouse, any racist, sexist, anti-religious, anti-ethnic, anti-homosexual, anti-heterosexual or any other philosophy deemed to be hateful.
   
   
4. TRANSFERS: You may not arrange for the exchange or transfer of any unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, obscene, vulgar, harassing, defamatory, hateful, racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable content while using the FreeStyle Service and FreeStyle and Sierra Online Games web sites. You will not post or transmit unsolicited advertising, promotional materials, or other forms of solicitation within the FreeStyle game world and Service. You will not upload, transfer, or transmit via the FreeStyle Service, or the FreeStyle and Sierra Online Games web sites, any copyrighted materials or content for which you do not own all the appropriate legal rights, unless you have the express written permission of the author or copyright holder.
   
   
5. IMPERSONATION: You may not impersonate any Sierra Online Game employee, including without limitation Guest Services Representatives (GSR) or in-game Moderators.
   
   
6. SCAMMING: You must not acquire any possessions from another player through misinformation, confusion or fraud.
   
   
7. OBEDIENCE: You must follow all instructions from authorized game administrators while playing the FreeStyle Service or while using the official FreeStyle and/or Sierra Online Games forums and communication tools.
   
   
8. HACKING: You may not modify any part of the FreeStyle client, server or any part of the FreeStyle web pages. You will not attempt to interfere with, hack into, or decipher any transmissions to or from the clients and servers running the FreeStyle Service, nor will you use any game hacking/altering/cheating software or tools. You will not use any automated scripting or "macroing" tools or software without the prior written approval of Sierra Online Games. Use of these types of programs will result in immediate termination of your account and may subject you to civil and/or criminal liability.
   
   
9. EXPLOITS: You must not exploit any defect or bug in FreeStyle. You must not communicate the existence of any such exploitable bug (bugs that grant any user an unintended benefits in game), either directly or through public posting, and you must promptly report any such bug via the in-game "GSR petition" command or via online Support Form.
   
   
10. THEFT OF SERVICES: You must be a legitimate subscriber in good standing to use the FreeStyle Service. You may not give false information or intentionally hide any information when registering for the FreeStyle Service. You will not play FreeStyle on any server that is not controlled or authorized by Sierra Online Games, its lawful designees, or an authorized FreeStyle publisher. You will not create, use, or provide any server emulator or other website where FreeStyle may be played online. In addition, you will not post or distribute any utilities, emulators or other software tools related to the FreeStyle Service without the prior written permission of Sierra Online Games.
    
    
11. NAMING POLICY: When selecting a FreeStyle character you must abide by the following FreeStyle Naming Policy. You are fully responsible for all activities conducted through your FreeStyle Service account or under your account ID. Names in FreeStyle are encouraged to reflect the Hip Hop Sports Culture of the game. You will not be able to change a character's name in the future.
    
    
    1. Your character name must not violate the FreeStyle Code of Conduct. This notably relates to names that are without limitation offensive, sexually explicit, vulgar, racist, hateful, obscene, defamatory, or any other language that is offensive in nature (including common swear words, name concerned with the anatomy, and intentional misspellings, anagrams, and homonyms of these words).
       
       
    2. You shall not use names which could harass or damage the reputation of a FreeStyle player, group of players, or employees of Sierra Online Games.
       
       
    3. Character names must not be a name or handle of any Sierra Online Games employee and/or a name that may mislead other players to believe you to be an employee of Sierra Online Games.
       
       
    4. You shall not use names which in any manner are related to religions.
       
       
    5. Character names must not be a combination of words that produces an offensive result or violates any of the above rules.
       
       
    6. Character names must not use misspellings or alternative spellings of names that violate any of the previous rules.
       
       
    7. Character names must not include any registered trademark names.
       
       
    8. Sierra Online Games reserves the right to change, at its sole discretion, names that are deemed vulgar, offensive or otherwise inappropriate.
       
       
    9. You shall not choose a name that is specifically designed so that your gaming character becomes hard to contact in-game by Sierra Online Games or other players. This includes creating names containing the same character repeatedly, or use of non-alphanumerical characters. This also includes character names made up of only vowels or consonants or containing characters that could be mistaken for other characters such as using an uppercase "i" in place of a lowercase "L". Sierra Online Games reserves the right to change any character name believed to be in violation of these rules or the spirit of the rules.
       
       

Terms capitalized in this Code of Conduct shall be a reference to and construed pursuant to the Terms of Use.
