5. FreeStyle Street Basketball Positions

Each position in FreeStyle Street Basketball plays a specific role on the court. Here is an overview of each position and what they are generally good at.

Guard: The Guard is a great ball handler who is very quick on the court. Guards are very good at stealing the ball and shooting 3 pointers. Strengths: running, passing, dribbling, stealing, and 3-pointers.

Forward: The Forward is a solid support position. Forwards can shoot very well from the middle ranges on the court, can grab rebounds, and even occasionally dunk the ball. Forwards are solid players all around. Strengths: jumping, middle range shots.

Center: The Center is a dominating presence on the basketball court. The Center position hangs close to the hoop and defends it against all players. On offense, the center is nearly unstoppable close to the goal. Strengths: Power, rebounding, blocking, dunking, and 2-pointers

6. Get Some Practice

Before you get on the court with everyone else you can practice basic controls by clicking on the Practice icon. This will bring up a menu where you can select Tutorial, Free Practice, or Mini Game.

Tutorial takes you through the basic Offense and Defense controls, Free Practice allows you to practice by yourself on the court, and Mini Game is a series of challenges to test your mastery of the controls.

7. Get Into a Game

Now that you have a player, it is time to get into a game! From the Main Menu, click on the Enter Game Lobby icon. Once you enter the lobby you can pick and choose from several types of games.

You have the option of joining a Team Match, or a Pick-Up match, and under both of these choices you can join an existing game or create your own for others to join.

Team Match ( 3 on 3 )

In FreeStyle, the players who win in Team Matches receive the most experience and the most points per game. However, to be successful in Team Matches requires lots of teamwork, plenty of practice, and skill.

Join a Team: You can join an existing team simply by clicking on a game room with an open slot. But if you don't feel like searching for an open team, you can click the Join In button that will automatically place you in any open rooms.

Make a Team: You also have the option of creating your own team by clicking on the Make a Team button at the bottom the screen.

Pick-Up Match (1-on-1 & 2-on-2)

Join an Existing Game: You are able to join an existing match if there is space available.

Make a Room: You are also able to make a room in the Pick-Up match mode. When you click on the Make a Room button you will have the option to change the Room Title, Game Mode, Password, and Level Limit.

8. Other Cool Stuff

One of the great things in FreeStyle Street Basketball is that you can buy items and skills. Take a few minutes to visit the Item Store and the Skill Shop inside of the game. Play Guides for these great features will be added to the web site very soon!
